What a VPS gives you that shared hosting cannot
One thing, and everything follows from it: root. You can install software, open ports, run services on a schedule and configure the machine as your application requires rather than as a control panel permits.
That is why a VPN admin panel lives on a VPS and a marketing site does not. The panel installs its own stack. Shared hosting, by design, will not let it.

A VPS is not a VPN server
They are often confused, and the difference is who does the setup. A VPS is a machine with root access — what happens next is yours. A ready-made VPN server is a machine that arrives with the VPN software installed, configured and already registered in your admin panel as a selectable location. Buy the VPS if you want to build it; buy the VPN server if you want it working.

Can I use a VPS as a VPN server?
