IPTV + VPN business bundle

Selling IPTV? Add Your Own Branded VPN

You already have the customers, the billing and the support channel. A branded VPN is a second product to sell them — on the same infrastructure, from the same provider.

You already did the hard part

The expensive part of any subscription business is acquiring the customer — finding them, convincing them, taking their first payment and getting them to trust you enough to leave a card on file. If you are selling IPTV, you have already paid that cost for every customer you have.

A branded VPN is a second product you can sell to those same people, through the same billing system, under the same brand, with no new acquisition cost. That is the entire argument, and it is a strong one — a second recurring line from an existing customer is worth considerably more than a first one from a stranger.

What you are actually selling

A VPN is a privacy and network-routing product. It encrypts a device's traffic and routes it through a server you operate. For a lot of consumers that is worth a few dollars a month on its own: public Wi-Fi, keeping browsing private from an ISP, and connecting to a home region while travelling are ordinary, legitimate reasons people buy VPNs every day.

What we will not help you sell it as. We do not position a VPN as a way to bypass ISP restrictions, evade legal obligations or access content someone does not have the right to distribute, and we will not supply marketing material that does. Sell it as what it is — a privacy and networking product — and you have a durable business. Sell it as a workaround and you have a liability, whatever it does for this quarter's numbers.

Why the Firestick overlap is the shortcut

Your IPTV customers already own the hardware. The Amazon Firestick is the most common device in this market, they already know how to sideload an app onto it because you walked them through it once, and they are already comfortable buying from you. A Firestick VPN app under the same brand is close to the shortest distance between an existing customer and a second subscription that exists in this business.

How to introduce it without annoying anyone

  1. Brand both the same

Same name, same logo, same colours. Two products, one company.

  2. Sell it separately first

A clearly optional add-on at a fair price beats a forced bundle nobody asked for.

  3. Provision both from one checkout

Where WHMCS is doing your billing, a customer buying both should not have two sign-up flows.

  4. Support it properly

A VPN generates different questions from IPTV. Have an answer for "why is it slower with it on" before you launch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why would an IPTV seller offer a VPN?

Because it is a second product for customers you already have. You have the billing, the support channel and the audience; a branded VPN is an additional privacy and networking service you can sell to them on a recurring basis, under the same brand.

Can I sell both under one brand?

Yes. Both the IPTV app and the VPN app carry your name and logo, so to a customer they are two products from one company.

Can I bundle them in one subscription?

How you package and price the two is yours to decide. Where WHMCS is doing your billing, both can be provisioned from the same checkout.

Does a VPN let my customers get around restrictions on content?

That is not what we sell it as, and it is not a claim we will help you make. A VPN is a privacy and network-routing product. What your customers may lawfully access is governed by the law where they are and by the rights attached to the content — a VPN does not change either.
