Frequently Asked Questions
What is included, what things cost, and what happens after you order.
VPN panel and apps
What is included for $250?
The VPN admin panel, a branded Android app and a branded Firestick app. One-time price. Windows, macOS and iOS apps, a VPN website and the WHMCS module are separate products.
What can I do from the panel?
Create, edit and delete users; set expiry and manage subscriptions; set account status; add, edit and organise servers and locations; create and manage resellers; define user packages; and manage the app authentication and server list that your applications read from.
Can I try it before ordering?
Yes — the live demo page shows the panel and the app so you can look at the actual interface rather than a screenshot.
Do I need my own server first?
You need somewhere to run the panel and at least one VPN server for users to connect to. We supply both — a VPS for the panel and ready-made VPN servers for the network — so you can order everything together.
Can I use it as an OpenVPN admin panel?
The panel provides the user, subscription, server and reseller management expected from an OpenVPN admin panel. OpenVPN compatibility depends on the panel build, server configuration and apps in your order, so we confirm it for your exact setup before deployment.
Is the Android app included in the $250 package?
Yes. The $250 VPN admin panel package includes both the Android app and the Firestick app.
Can I publish it on Google Play myself?
Distribution through the Play Store is done from your own developer account under your own brand. Talk to sales about what is delivered and what Google requires from you, since store policy is theirs to enforce, not ours.
What does the app actually show a user?
A connection screen with the connect control and session information, a server or location list pulled from your panel, and an account screen with their subscription status.
Is the Firestick app the same as the Android app?
It is the same account system and the same server list, built for a different way of using it. A Firestick is driven by a directional remote from across a room, so navigation, focus states and text size are built for that instead of for a touchscreen.
Does it work on Android TV as well as Firestick?
Yes — the same build targets Amazon Fire TV devices and Android TV.
Is it included in the $250 package?
Yes, alongside the Android app.
Building the business
What is the minimum I need to start?
A panel, at least one server and an app your customers can install. In practice that is the $250 panel package with Android and Firestick apps, plus a VPS to run the panel and one ready-made VPN server. Website and billing automation can follow once you have your first customers.
How long does it take to launch?
It depends on how much branding and how many platforms are involved, and on how quickly assets like your logo and app name are ready. Ask sales for a timeline against your specific list rather than a generic estimate.
Do I need to be technical?
No. The panel is a web application, the apps are built for you, and the servers arrive configured. What you do need is a plan for pricing, support and getting customers — the parts no supplier can do for you.
Can I start small and add platforms later?
Yes, and most people should. Android and Firestick cover the majority of first customers. Windows, macOS and iOS are separate purchases you can add when demand justifies them.
Will my customers know the software came from OneBestHost?
Not from the product. The apps carry your name, logo and colours, and the panel is yours to operate. We are your supplier, not a brand your customers interact with.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. You own the customer relationship and the pricing. What you charge, what packages you offer and how you bill are yours to decide.
Can I change the branding later?
Branding changes mean a new app build. Talk to us about what you want changed and we will tell you what it involves before you commit.
How do resellers work?
You create a reseller account in the panel and allocate credits to it. The reseller signs in, creates and manages their own users against those credits, and handles their own customers within the packages and limits you set.
Can resellers see each other's customers?
No. A reseller works inside their own account and sees their own users. You, as the panel owner, see everything.
Can reseller credits be topped up automatically?
Where reseller automation is supported, the WHMCS VPN module can create reseller accounts and handle credit top-ups from paid invoices rather than you doing it by hand.
Servers, website and billing
What does "ready-made" actually mean?
The server is delivered with the VPN software installed and configured and already connected to your panel and your apps, so it appears as a selectable location rather than as a machine you now have to set up.
Can I add more servers later?
Yes — that is the normal pattern. Start with one, add locations as your user base grows and as you see where your customers actually are.
Which locations are available?
Available locations depend on current capacity, so we do not publish a fixed list that would go out of date. Tell sales which regions you need and you will get an accurate answer.
Can I supply my own server instead?
Ask sales. Whether we can configure a machine you already own depends on the provider and the operating system, so it is a conversation rather than a checkbox.
What do I get for $99?
A responsive website for your VPN brand: your branding, your product and pricing presentation, download pages for your apps, support and contact pages, an SEO-friendly page structure, and the groundwork for connecting it to a WHMCS client area.
Does it include hosting and a domain?
Those are separate products, and you can buy both from us in the same portal. The $99 covers the website itself.
Can I edit it myself afterwards?
Yes. What is editable and how depends on the build, so confirm the specifics with sales before you order if in-house editing matters to you.
Is billing included?
Billing is WHMCS, which is a separate system. The website is built ready to connect to it; the WHMCS VPN module is what automates provisioning once it is connected.
What does the module automate?
Creating a VPN account when an order is paid, renewing that account when the renewal invoice is paid, and managing the account through its lifecycle. Where supported, it also creates reseller accounts and handles reseller credit top-ups.
Do I need WHMCS already?
Yes. WHMCS is a separate commercial billing system with its own licence. The module runs inside it — it is not a replacement for it.
What happens when a customer does not renew?
The account follows the expiry rules you set in the panel. The point of the module is that this happens on its own instead of you reconciling a payment list against a user list by hand.
Is it a subscription?
No — $199 one-time.
Desktop and mobile apps
What is included for $499?
A branded Windows desktop client: your app name, logo and colours, a custom interface, authentication against your admin panel, your server list, the connection workflow and account status, plus configuration and setup assistance.
Which protocols does it use?
Protocol support is confirmed against your panel and server configuration rather than promised generically, because the honest answer depends on your setup. Ask sales for the specifics of yours.
Is it $499 as well?
Yes — $499 one-time, separate from the Windows and iOS builds.
How is it delivered?
Delivery and signing arrangements depend on how you intend to distribute it. Sales will walk you through what Apple requires and what we hand over.
What does the iOS app cost?
$499 one-time.
Do I need an Apple Developer account?
For App Store distribution under your own brand, yes — the app is published from your account, not ours. Sales will tell you exactly what is needed before you order.
Does it work on iPad as well as iPhone?
Yes, the build targets iPhone and iPad.
Hosting, VPS and domains
What does the promotional price mean?
The promotional price covers your first billing period. After that the plan renews at the regular price, which is shown next to every promotional price on this site.
What does "unlimited" cover?
Unlimited websites, databases, addon domains and email accounts on the plan. As with any shared hosting, accounts run within the platform's fair-use and resource limits — CloudLinux is what keeps one account's spike from becoming another account's outage.
What is CloudLinux and why does it matter?
CloudLinux isolates each hosting account into its own lightweight container with its own share of CPU and memory. On a shared server, that is the difference between a neighbouring site's traffic spike slowing your site down and it not affecting you at all.
Can I install WordPress in one click?
Yes. The one-click software installer in cPanel covers WordPress and the other common applications, so you do not need to upload files or create databases by hand.
Are backups included?
Automatic backup is included in the plan. As a matter of practice, keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose as well — that advice applies to every host.
Can I host my VPN or IPTV website here?
Yes, and most customers do. The marketing site, the client area and the panel are separate things — a shared hosting plan is a sensible home for the first two. A panel with real user load belongs on a VPS.
How is the promotional VPS price billed?
The promotional price covers your first billing period. After that the plan renews at the regular price, which is shown next to every promotional price on this site.
Do I get root access?
Yes. A VPS gives you full root-level control of the machine, which is what makes it suitable for running a VPN panel, a VPN node, an IPTV panel or any application that needs to install its own software.
Which plan should I start on?
The 2 GB plan is enough for a first panel or a single VPN node. If you are running a panel and serving user traffic from the same machine, start at 4 GB. Plans scale in a straight line — each tier doubles from the 2 GB base — so moving up later is a size change, not a redesign.
Can I use a VPS as a VPN server?
Yes. If you would like the VPN software installed, configured and connected to your panel for you rather than doing it yourself, order it as a ready-made VPN server instead.
What is not listed on this page?
Bandwidth allowances, network speeds, data-centre locations and any uptime or DDoS commitments are not published here, because we only publish figures we can stand behind for your specific plan. Ask sales and you will get the real numbers for the tier you are considering.
Where do I search for a domain?
Domain search, registration and renewal all happen in the client portal at my.onebesthost.com, which is also where your hosting, VPS and VPN services live.
Why is there no price list on this page?
Domain pricing varies by extension and changes at registry level. Rather than publish numbers that go stale, the portal shows the live price for the exact domain you search for.
Can I manage DNS records?
DNS management is available through the portal where the extension supports it — which is what you need in order to point a domain at your hosting, your panel or your VPN website.
Do domains renew automatically?
Automatic renewal is handled by the billing system alongside your other services, so a domain does not quietly expire while you are busy running the business on it.
IPTV
What can the IPTV panel manage?
IPTV users and their subscriptions, expiry dates, account status, packages, reseller accounts and reseller credits, from a single dashboard. Content administration such as categories and playlists is available where your setup supports it.
Is it the same panel as the VPN one?
No — they are separate products for separate businesses. What they share is the administrative model: users, subscriptions, expiry, packages and resellers, run from one dashboard.
Can I run both an IPTV and a VPN business?
Yes, and a lot of our customers do exactly that. See the IPTV + VPN page for how the two fit together.
How much is it?
IPTV panel pricing depends on scale and configuration, so it is quoted rather than listed. Contact sales and you will get a number for your requirements.
Which devices does it target?
Android phones and tablets, Android TV, and Amazon Firestick — the devices IPTV customers actually watch on.
What does the app include?
Your branding and app name, a login screen, Live TV, movies and series sections, categories, favourites, and account and expiry information. The TV layout is built for a remote control rather than a touchscreen.
Is content included?
No. OneBestHost supplies the software — the panel and the app. Content, rights and the legality of what you distribute are entirely your responsibility.
Why would an IPTV seller offer a VPN?
Because it is a second product for customers you already have. You have the billing, the support channel and the audience; a branded VPN is an additional privacy and networking service you can sell to them on a recurring basis, under the same brand.
Can I sell both under one brand?
Yes. Both the IPTV app and the VPN app carry your name and logo, so to a customer they are two products from one company.
Can I bundle them in one subscription?
How you package and price the two is yours to decide. Where WHMCS is doing your billing, both can be provisioned from the same checkout.
Does a VPN let my customers get around restrictions on content?
That is not what we sell it as, and it is not a claim we will help you make. A VPN is a privacy and network-routing product. What your customers may lawfully access is governed by the law where they are and by the rights attached to the content — a VPN does not change either.
Buying and support
Which prices are one-time and which recur?
The VPN software products — panel package, website, WHMCS module and each desktop or mobile app — are one-time prices. Hosting and VPS are recurring, with the promotional price applying to the first billing period and the regular price to every renewal after it.
Why do some products say "contact sales" instead of a price?
Because their price genuinely depends on configuration — server specification and location for VPN servers, and scale for IPTV. We would rather quote you accurately than publish a number that turns out not to apply to you.
Do you offer bundles?
Most customers buy several products together — panel, apps, server, website and hosting. Tell sales the full list and you will get a quote for the whole thing.
How do I contact support?
Live chat on this site, Telegram at @techydev, email to support@onebesthost.com, or a ticket in the client portal. Channels are staffed 24/7; we do not publish a guaranteed response time because we are not going to promise one we have not defined.
How do I place an order?
Hosting, VPS and domains are ordered directly in the client portal. Software products — the VPN panel package, apps, website, WHMCS module, VPN servers and IPTV products — start with a conversation, because the build depends on your branding and configuration.
