VPN Reseller Panel — Let Other People Sell for You

Create reseller accounts, allocate credits and let each reseller build and manage their own customers inside limits you set.

Reseller accounts and credits Packages you define Included in the panel
VPN plan options — monthly, semi-annual and annual — shown with reseller program cards for selling under your own brand.

Resellers are how a small VPN operation grows without hiring

There is a limit to how many customers one person can find. There is no practical limit to how many people can find customers for you. A reseller programme turns that into a system: someone else does the selling and the first line of support, in their own market and often in their own language, and you supply the service.

The mechanism is credits. You create a reseller account and allocate it a number of credits. The reseller signs in, and spends those credits creating user accounts on the packages you have made available to them. When they run out, they buy more. You are not approving individual sales or creating accounts on request — you are setting the rules and topping up a balance.

What a reseller can and cannot do

They can

  • Sign in to their own reseller area
  • Create user accounts against their credit balance
  • Choose from the packages you have made available
  • Manage their own customers — status, expiry, renewals
  • See their own usage and remaining credits

They cannot

  • See other resellers or their customers
  • See or change your server configuration
  • Create packages you have not defined
  • Exceed the credits you have allocated
  • Reach the owner-level areas of the panel

Automating the credit top-up

Allocating credits by hand works until you have a dozen resellers in different time zones, at which point it becomes a job. Where reseller automation is supported, the WHMCS VPN module handles it: a reseller buys a credit package in your store, pays, and the credits appear in their account without you being involved.

  1. Reseller buys credits in WHMCS

From a product you have set up at your price.

  2. Payment clears

Through your gateway, into your account.

  3. Module tops up the reseller

Credits are added to their panel account automatically.

  4. Reseller creates users

Against the new balance, on your packages, immediately.

Setting the programme up sensibly

Two pieces of advice from watching people do this. First, decide your reseller price before you recruit anyone — retrofitting a margin onto an existing agreement is unpleasant. Second, keep the package list short. Resellers sell what is easy to explain, and a menu of fourteen durations is not easy to explain.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do resellers work?

You create a reseller account in the panel and allocate credits to it. The reseller signs in, creates and manages their own users against those credits, and handles their own customers within the packages and limits you set.

Can resellers see each other's customers?

No. A reseller works inside their own account and sees their own users. You, as the panel owner, see everything.

Can reseller credits be topped up automatically?

Where reseller automation is supported, the WHMCS VPN module can create reseller accounts and handle credit top-ups from paid invoices rather than you doing it by hand.
